The position

As a Software Analysis Engineer at agap2, you take on the challenge within an international environment with a local focus. Key Responsibilities

We are looking for a Software Analysis Engineer to join our Product Engineering Defense organization. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for software development, engineering simulation, and composite structures. You'll work within a multidisciplinary project team developing innovative composite components for the Defense Aerospace sector. If you are R&D-oriented, technically analytical, and enthusiastic about developing engineering tools, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

As part of our Global Technology Center - Missiles Laboratory, you'll take ownership of our internally developed simulation software tool, used in conjunction with filament winding machines and structural analysis tools. You will play a central role in maintaining and expanding our digital engineering capability for design, analysis, and manufacturing simulation.

• Identify and analyze complex technical problems, contributing directly to innovative solutions.
• Develop, implement, and rigorously check/approve technical solutions for work packages, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements, and within programme, time, and production constraints.
• Develop and apply advanced software tools for Product Design: This includes enhancing CATIA functionalities and continuously developing FokkerWind (our central simulation tool) with VBA code and Python scripts, including interfaces for analysis software like Abaqus.
• Develop and apply software tools and machine models for Manufacturing Simulation: Utilize and enhance tools like 3D RobotStudio, RoboDK, Sinutrain, and CNC/robot machine controller software, developing self-containable Add-ins with C#, among others.
• Develop and apply software tools for Stress Analysis: Work with industry-leading tools such as Abaqus and/or Patran/Nastran/Simcenter for Finite Element Analyses (FEA).
• Drive the continuous development and professionalisation of the FokkerWind software, making it the central platform for our intellectual property in filament winding design and processing.

What You Bring

• A completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant software-related field.
• Strong experience in software development, particularly in engineering or manufacturing applications.
• Hands-on experience with finite element analysis (FEA) tools like Abaqus, Patran/Nastran; knowledge of Simcenter is a plus.
• Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as VBA, Python, and C#.
• Familiarity with robotic simulation environments and machine tool programming.
• Ability to work independently on technical analyses and also contribute to peer reviews, validations, and approvals.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical ideas to a broad audience.
