Hunter Savage are delighted to be hiring for our client, a well-established and highly regarded production business based in Ashbourne, who are seeking to appoint an experienced Maintenance Technician to join their evening shift engineering team.

This Maintenance Technician role offers an excellent opportunity to join a busy and modern production environment with strong long-term stability, excellent benefits and consistent overtime opportunities. The successful Maintenance Technician will work as part of an experienced engineering team supporting production operations, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across manufacturing equipment and facilities.

The Role

• Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across production equipment
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults and implement effective repairs
• Support continuous improvement and minimise equipment downtime
• Work closely with production teams to ensure smooth plant operations
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
• Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety procedures

The Person

• Previous experience working as a Maintenance Technician within manufacturing or production environments
• Strong electrical and/or mechanical fault-finding skills
• Experience working with automated or high-speed production equipment desirable
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Time-served apprenticeship or relevant engineering qualification preferred
