Hays Education are currently working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school to recruit a passionate and dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join their team. The school is ideally located close to the town centre, with excellent public transport links, making it easily accessible.The RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will play a key role in developing students' practical skills, creativity, and understanding of nutrition and food preparation.The successful candidate will have the ability to deliver quality teaching that drives achievement and inspires a love of learning. You will be able to demonstrate experience of achieving positive outcomes for pupils, as well as being passionate about making a difference to the lives of young people.Key Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering high-quality Food Technology lessons
• Teaching practical and theory-based lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Assessing, monitoring and reporting on student progress
• Promoting a safe and engaging learning environment in practical settings
• Supporting students of varying abilities to achieve their best
• Contributing to departmental and whole-school initiatives

About You

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Degree in Food Technology, Hospitality, or a related subject
• Experience teaching Food Technology in a secondary school
• Proven ability to secure positive outcomes for pupils
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• A committed team player with excellent organisational skills
• The natural ability to motivate and inspire both pupils and colleagues
