Tax Manager - Employment Tax and Global Mobility
Posted 1 hour 15 minutes ago by Brightwater Recruitment
If you want a career that takes you beyond spreadsheets and into how multinational businesses actually move people around the world, this is worth a look.
A leading Top 10 accounting firm is investing heavily in its Employment Tax and Global Mobility practice and is looking for an experienced Global Mobility Tax Advisor to join a growing team. This is a genuine growth hire, driven by increasing demand from multinational clients managing complex, cross border workforces.
You will be working across a network spanning more than 50 countries, advising organisations on how they manage internationally mobile employees. It is technical work with real variety, real client contact, and none of the slow moving bureaucracy that can hold you back at other firms.
What you'll actually be doingYou will advise clients on employment tax, social security and personal tax issues arising from cross border assignments and remote working. You will help design global mobility and workforce tax strategies, and provide guidance on tax equalisation, tax protection and compliance frameworks. You will manage the employment tax side of global mobility programmes across multiple jurisdictions, spot payroll and permanent establishment risks before they become problems, and work alongside legal, immigration and wider tax teams to deliver joined up solutions. You will also get the chance to deliver training and thought leadership, both to clients and internally, and build the kind of client relationships that shape the future of the practice.
What you'll bringAt least 3 years' experience in employment tax, global mobility or expatriate tax, whether from a Big 4 or Top 10 practice or an in house global mobility function. A professional qualification as an accountant or tax advisor, such as CTA or AITI, or equivalent. A working knowledge of PAYE, social security coordination and cross border assignment structuring. Confidence managing client relationships directly, with strong communication skills.
Why this is a smart career moveThis is a firm with a clear growth strategy for its Global Mobility and Employment Tax offering, which means real opportunities to progress and specialise rather than waiting years for the next step. You will get structured career development, exposure to international projects and secondment opportunities, ongoing technical and leadership training, and direct access to Partners and senior decision makers from early on.
If you are looking to sharpen your technical expertise, build genuinely international experience, and move your career forward faster within a highly regarded Top 10 firm, this is a strong next step.
