Sous Chef - Contract Catering

Monday to Friday Daytime Hours

We are currently recruiting experienced Sous Chefs to join our contract catering teams across Newcastle, Gateshead and Durham.

The Role

As a Sous Chef, you will support the Head Chef in delivering high-quality, fresh food in a professional contract catering environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for chefs seeking a stable work-life balance with no evenings or weekends.

Hours
  • Monday to Friday
  • Shifts between 07:00 - 16:00
Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations
  • Preparing and cooking fresh, seasonal menus
  • Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation and hygiene
  • Assisting with stock control, ordering and cost management
  • Supervising kitchen staff and supporting team development
  • Ensuring full compliance with food safety and health & safety standards
About You
  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous ready to step up
  • Experience within contract catering, education, business & industry or similar settings is desirable
  • Passionate about fresh food and quality service
  • Excellent organisational and teamwork skills
  • Level 2 Food Safety (or willingness to obtain)
