Job Description
Sous Chef - Contract Catering 
Monday to Friday Daytime Hours
We are currently recruiting experienced Sous Chefs to join our contract catering teams across Newcastle, Gateshead and Durham.
The RoleAs a Sous Chef, you will support the Head Chef in delivering high-quality, fresh food in a professional contract catering environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for chefs seeking a stable work-life balance with no evenings or weekends.
Hours- Monday to Friday
- Shifts between 07:00 - 16:00
- Supporting the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations
- Preparing and cooking fresh, seasonal menus
- Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation and hygiene
- Assisting with stock control, ordering and cost management
- Supervising kitchen staff and supporting team development
- Ensuring full compliance with food safety and health & safety standards
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous ready to step up
- Experience within contract catering, education, business & industry or similar settings is desirable
- Passionate about fresh food and quality service
- Excellent organisational and teamwork skills
- Level 2 Food Safety (or willingness to obtain)
- Daytime hours only - evenings and weekends off
