Our client is a leading company specialising in Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) projects, renowned for delivering innovative and high-quality solutions across various sectors including commercial, residential, and industrial. With a strong commitment to excellence and client satisfaction, they are now seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Oversee and manage the financial aspects of M&E projects from inception through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and financial plans for projects, ensuring all costs are accurately accounted for.
  • Procurement: Manage the procurement process including the preparation of tender documents, evaluation of bids, and negotiation with contractors and suppliers.
  • Contract Management: Administer contracts, including the assessment and valuation of variations and claims, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Cost Control and Reporting: Monitor and control project costs, prepare regular financial reports, and provide accurate cost forecasts.
  • Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks to the project, implementing effective risk management strategies to mitigate impact.
  • Client Liaison: Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing any concerns and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery and financial management.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a focus on M&E projects.
  • Education: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. Membership of a professional body such as RICS or CIOB is highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of cost management and contract administration principles, with proficiency in relevant software (e.g., MS Office, cost estimation tools).
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Organisational Skills: Exceptional organisational and time management skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively within a team environment and collaborate with various stakeholders.
