SCADA support engineer

Job Title: SCADA/PLC Support Engineer

Location: Eindhoven, Netherlands

Hybrid: 2-3 days per week on-site

Duration: 6-12+ months

Employment: Contract position

Experience: 6-8 years

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced SCADA/PLC Support Engineer with a strong background in GE iFIX development, support, and troubleshooting. This role involves providing L2 and L3 support, managing server configurations and patches, and coordinating with users and vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide L2 & L3 support for SCADA systems (GE iFIX 6.5)
• Troubleshoot and develop SCADA and PLC systems
• Configure and manage IGS OPC servers, user roles, and security areas
• Support server patching, updates, and GE licensing
• Monitor and maintain Historian server
• Perform support and shutdown activities
• Resolve incidents related to iFIX SCADA
• Coordinate with key users and external vendors

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of SCADA/PLC systems, particularly GE iFIX
• Hands-on experience with IGS OPC server configuration
• Familiarity with iFIX 6.5 SCADA
• Exposure to Historian servers
• Experience in system patching and GE license management
• Fluent in English
• Willingness to work flexible hours

Good to Have:

• SCADA/PLC programming experience
• Experience in SCADA system development and monitoring
