Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex mechanical, electrical, and energy infrastructure projects across industrial environments.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing engineering team delivering innovative energy efficiency and decarbonisation projects for clients across sectors including manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, food & beverage, medical devices, and data centres.

The successful candidate will manage projects from initial planning and design through procurement, construction, commissioning, and final handover, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery.

Key Responsibilities Project Delivery
  • Lead multiple engineering and energy infrastructure projects from inception through to completion.
  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Coordinate project activities across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
Stakeholder Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Act as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Facilitate project meetings and provide regular progress updates to key stakeholders.
Budget & Commercial Management
  • Prepare and manage project budgets and forecasts.
  • Monitor project costs, manage variations, and support commercial decision-making.
  • Work closely with finance teams to ensure accurate reporting and project profitability.
Programme & Resource Planning
  • Develop detailed project schedules and monitor progress against key milestones.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and external contractors to achieve project objectives.
  • Manage project resources efficiently while balancing competing priorities.
Risk, Quality & Compliance
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Lead quality assurance activities and oversee commissioning and project closeout.
Reporting
  • Prepare project reports, dashboards, and executive summaries.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including schedules, technical reports, meeting minutes, and risk registers.
About You

You are an experienced engineering Project Manager with strong leadership skills and a proven ability to deliver technically complex projects within industrial or manufacturing environments.

Essential Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Energy, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience managing engineering, industrial, utilities, or capital projects.
  • Proven experience delivering multidisciplinary mechanical and electrical projects.
  • Strong knowledge of project planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and contractor management.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Full clean driving licence with flexibility to travel to client sites.
Desirable
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent Project Management certification.
  • Experience delivering energy efficiency, sustainability, or decarbonisation projects.
  • Knowledge of industrial energy systems, including steam, compressed air, CHP, HVAC, cooling systems, utilities, or renewable energy technologies.
  • Familiarity with construction contracts such as NEC, FIDIC, or similar.
  • Experience within manufacturing, pharmaceutical, food & beverage, medical device, or data centre industries.
