Job Description

Job Title: Portfolio and Benefits Officer
Contract: 6 month Fixed Term Contract
Working Hours: 11 hours per week (Mon & Tue)
Salary: £38,220 to £40,777 FTE per annum (£11,363 - £12,123 pro rata)
Location: Kelvedon Park
Closing Date: 2nd August 2026

Job Summary

Portfolio and Benefits Officer supporting the successful delivery of the Service's Portfolio of Change within a flexible and hybrid working arrangement. The role involves governance, risk, benefit realisation and portfolio oversight to help achieve positive outcomes for the communities served.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinating board activity, including agendas, papers, actions and follow up records.
  • Maintaining accurate governance records, trackers, dashboards and project documentation.
  • Tracking risks, issues, decisions, actions, benefit realisation, project health and lessons learned to maximise project success.
  • Preparing reports, summaries and insights to support portfolio oversight and decision making.
  • Completing assurance activity against agreed governance processes.
  • Identifying trends, gaps and opportunities for continuous improvement of ways of working.
  • Supporting benefits management by identifying, tracking and reporting project benefits and efficiencies.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience in an administrative role with evidence of scheduling and supporting meetings, maintaining and presenting project, programme, or functional information.
  • Experience managing changing priorities and situations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, with the ability to produce and share information.
