Hours: This is a Part Time role for 19 hours per week
The Emergency Services Network (ESN) is a strategic priority for BT, providing mission-critical communications for Britain's Emergency Services. ESN will replace the Airwave network and build upon EE's 4G network, offering essential voice, data, and critical communication services to 300,000 frontline emergency service members.
Providing consistent data describing the Radio Access Network (RAN) capability is vital for our customers. You will be responsible for the delivery and strategy of this Portal and the coverage prediction tools that support it. Your role will impact coverage assurance, service availability, RAN Tools enhancements, and high-level OSS solution designs focusing on customer experience.
The successful candidate will be cleared to BPSS (or equivalent) as a minimum and may need to undergo National Security Vetting (e.g., CTC, SC, or NPPV).
This role is part-time, for 19 hours per week.
What you'll be doing- Providing RAN OSS design authority for visualization tools focused on radio coverage, capacity, resilience, and infrastructure.
- Defining approaches for complex, high-impact, high-risk customer OSS solutions.
- Designing RAN Tools scope, estimating resources, and managing costs and timelines.
- Engaging with technical and non-technical users to propose solutions for RAN data visualization and analysis.
- Advising technical teams to deliver network design solutions and providing technical guidance.

- Experience in radio coverage and network infrastructure data.
- Understanding of Mobile Radio Network & OSS architectures and operational processes.
- Experience with radio frequency planning tools like Forsk Atoll, HTZ ICS Telecom, or others, and GIS tools such as Mapinfo, QGIS, or ArcGIS.
- Background in business strategy, organizational performance, finance, KPIs, and data reporting.
- Experience with cloud technologies like AWS or Azure is desirable.
