Job Title: NDT Supervisor - Monopiles

Location: Spain (Hybrid - Remote & Onsite)

Sector: Renewable Energy / Offshore Wind / Fabrication

Contract Type: 1 year Contract with potential for further 1 - 2 years

Overview:

We are currently seeking an experienced NDT Supervisor with expertise in Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) and Time of Flight Diffraction (TOFD) to oversee inspection operations related to monopile fabrication. The role is open to candidates based in Spain, offering a flexible hybrid model combining remote work with occasional site visits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate a team of NDT Inspectors across various stages of monopile inspection.
  • Review and evaluate PAUT/TOFD scan results for accuracy, quality, and defect detection.
  • Act as the primary decision-maker for interpreting inspection results - Profile B inspectors will conduct the scans, but all evaluations and acceptance/rejection decisions will be your responsibility.
  • Instruct inspectors on areas requiring further analysis using conventional UT techniques.
  • Ensure inspections and evaluations are carried out in compliance with applicable standards (ISO, ASME, EN).
  • Support documentation and traceability of inspection outcomes, including non-conformity reports.
  • Liaise with Quality and Production teams to ensure seamless coordination and minimal downtime.
  • Maintain and promote high HSE standards at all times.

Requirements:

  • UT Phased Array Level 2 Certification (essential).
  • Proven experience evaluating PAUT/TOFD inspection results in a supervisory or lead inspector capacity.
  • Strong technical understanding of NDT techniques and standards relevant to offshore wind or heavy steel fabrication (monopiles, jackets, or similar structures).
  • Ability to lead and coordinate a team of inspectors efficiently.
  • Proficient in using NDT equipment and software for result analysis and reporting.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written); Spanish language skills are a plus.
  • Must be based in Spain and open to a hybrid working model (majority remote with periodic onsite visits).
