Having begun as an arm of the UK R&D department, it has rapidly developed into a group that works on a much larger and more diverse scale: ranging from using traditional data science techniques to optimise operational efficiency along with state-of-the-art AI solutions to identify novel construction materials, to pioneering and managing Sika's global R&D data platform Nuage.Our operational Nuage team is responsible for maintaining and improving the platform. Nuage supports our global R&D function by structuring manual data recording, automating machine data uploads, provisioning advanced R&D data analysis tools and democratising access to key supply chain data. The Integration Engineer role will implement, automate, secure and improve our data integration solutions for Nuage.Your main tasks will be: Automate and streamline secure data transfer between cloud and on-prem systems Enhance laboratory testing programs to import/export data in a computer literate format Design and implement Python-based data ingestion pipelines to support scalable and efficient data processing Develop and maintain Python SDKs to enable seamless connectivity between databases and Databricks environments Your expertise - Our strength Good knowledge of Python Experience with REST or GraphQL APIs 2+ years of professional experience in production environment Experience with a Data Intelligence platform such as Databricks Experience with ITIL and agile project management Effective verbal and written communication skills Experience with Microsoft Azure Experience with integrating laboratory testing equipment with LIMS. Excellent capacity to prioritise work Strong understanding of data security principles Jira/Confluence experience would be highly beneficial Going Beyond.
