Asbestos Lab Analyst - Glasgow

Our client is an expanding and growing UKAS accredited asbestos consultancy, they are actively seeking for an organised and reliable Asbestos Lab Analyst to join them in the Glasgow area. The ideal candidate will hold the P401 certificate and will be experienced in carrying out bulk analysis on asbestos samples. Consideration will be given to applications in Hamilton, East Kilbride, Edinburgh, East Lothian, and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications & Experience

• Must possess the P401 qualification
• Must have a proven track record working in a laboratory and within the asbestos parameter.
• Have good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must be proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package - using the Database.
• Also interested in candidates with p401, p402, p403, p404 or s301 CCP.

Key Aspects of the Role

• Receiving and appropriately logging samples received by the laboratory.
• Preparing samples for analysis and carrying out analysis of samples for fibre content efficiently and adhering to UKAS regulations.
• Completing analysis test sheets as and when required and ensuring every effort to complete workload within required time frame.
• Building and maintaining a good working relation with customers/clients.
• Getting involved with other laboratory tasks as and when required.
• Other duties include organising, multitasking, and carrying out some administrative duties.
• Entering data and analysing and checking reports.
• Completing and uploading reports as and when required.
• Liaising and assisting clients with regards to enquiries.
• Dealing with internal and external databases and offering technical help to customers and staff.
