HR Advisor

Location: Canterbury, Kent

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum

Sector: Manufacturing

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Working Pattern: Office Based with 1 Day per Week Hybrid Working

An established manufacturing business in Canterbury is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a people-focused HR professional who enjoys working closely with managers, providing practical HR support, and contributing to a positive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day HR advice and guidance to managers and employees
  • Support employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management and performance matters
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding and induction processes
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are implemented consistently across the business
  • Support managers with employee development and workforce planning
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
  • Assist with payroll-related administration and employee changes
  • Support HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Produce and analyse HR reports and management information
  • Keep up to date with employment legislation and HR best practice

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience in a HR Advisor or Senior HR Administration role
  • Good working knowledge of UK employment law
  • Experience managing employee relations cases
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR systems
  • CIPD qualified or studying towards CIPD would be advantageous
  • Previous experience within manufacturing, engineering or a similar environment would be beneficial
