About Our Client
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant payroll processing, maintaining up-to-date payroll records, and implementing best practices to streamline payroll systems. This role requires a deep understanding of payroll regulations, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to lead a small team or coordinate with external payroll providers as needed.
Job Description
As a Payroll manager you will be responsible for:
- Oversee all aspects of the payroll function for the organisation.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
- Develop and implement payroll policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee payroll queries.
- Coordinate with HR department to ensure correct employee data.
- Manage and prepare reports for upper management, finance department and auditors.
- Lead, guide and manage the payroll team to provide accurate, timely and professional service.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Group Payroll Manager should have:
- A degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
- Proven experience in a similar role within the industrial/manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
