We are looking for candidates for the position of Expert Engineer in Carbon Capture. The Expert Engineer in Carbon Capture plays a pivotal role in developing and implementing advanced technologies to capture and store carbon dioxide emissions from industrial processes and energy production
Key responsibilities
Develop and optimize carbon capture systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Project Management: Lead cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution and integration of carbon management strategies.
- Technical Expertise: Provide expert insights on carbon capture technologies, including chemical absorption and physical separation processes.
- Performance Assessment: Conduct site assessments and simulations to evaluate existing systems and identify areas for improvement.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including environmental scientists, mechanical engineers, and project managers.
- Continuous Improvement: Review existing systems to identify improvement opportunities and conduct continuous improvement studies.
- Training and Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers and deliver in-house training courses.
- Operational Support: Act as a technical advisor and provide timely operational support.
Qualifications and desired attributes
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Petroleum, or Mechanical Engineering. Higher education is desired but not required.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience within the carbon capture value chain, including CC projects.
- Proven experience in developing conceptual studies, basic engineering or FEED as a leader in this activity for Carbon Capture technologies (carbon capture at power plants; aqueous amine-based CO2 capture; membrane gas separation; Cryogenic Carbon Capture; CO2 liquefaction, etc.).
- Skills: Strong understanding of CC considerations, CO2 transport mechanisms.
- Technical Proficiency: High expertise in hydraulic calculation, process simulation (Hysys, Aspen, Unisim), equipment design, instrumentation and valves specification and client comment management.
