Job Description
Job Title Electrical Designer Job Description

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop, validate, and verify electrical components, (sub-)systems, and solutions for the Interventional Guided Therapy Systems (fixed interventional X-ray systems). You will also lead continuous improvements (CAPA) within R&D. You will collaborate within a multidisciplinary R&D team, applying research results and technological advancements.

Your role
  • Define electronics and electrical design requirements, develop, verify, report, and document.
  • Ensure design quality, reliability, and patient safety of medical products and systems developed by Philips, including collaboration with suppliers and partners.
  • Define test strategies and plans, conduct testing, and report results to ensure compliance with international Safety and EMC standards and regulations.
  • Own, facilitate, and implement Corrective Actions Preventive Actions (CAPA).
  • Collaborate effectively with teams and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with other functions such as mechanical, mechatronics, compliance, testing, validation, procurement, and quality.
  • Support the co-creation, maintenance, and execution of the electronics and electrical team's vision, mission, and strategy.
  • Promote continuous improvement.
You're the right fit if
  • You hold a Master of Science or related technical degree in electrical, electronics, mechatronics engineering, or a related discipline.
  • You have at least 3 years of relevant experience in a professional engineering environment.
  • You possess a minimum of 3 years' experience in the medical or a similarly highly regulated industry.
  • You have experience and an affinity with analog (capacitive) sensors and low-level analog signals.
  • You have broad knowledge, from analog electronics to digital electronics and software, not limited by discipline borders.
  • You demonstrate a high degree of self-learning and eagerness to experiment and explore.
  • You have a good balance of theoretical and practical knowledge.
  • You are comfortable using measurement equipment and automation tools.
  • You can utilize Python, LabVIEW, or similar programming languages.
  • You have experience in new product introduction and lifecycle development in the industry.
  • You have experience in electronics system design, validation, and verification, with a focus on quality and improvement.
  • You are an EPLAN expert and capable of leading teams and stakeholders.
  • You are able to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • You possess good communication skills in English.
  • You are proactive, energetic, hands-on, and accurate.
  • Experience with SAFe methodology is preferred.
