Consultant Psychologist - Specialist Mental Health Service Leeds, West Yorkshire
  • £46,800 per annum
  • Part-Time Permanent 22.5 Hours per Week
Empower Recovery Through Expert Psychological Care Are you a qualified and experienced Psychologist looking to make a meaningful impact in a specialist mental health setting? We're hiring on behalf of a respected independent healthcare provider for aConsultant Psychologistto join a high-dependency rehabilitation service in Leeds.

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead therapeutic interventions, shape clinical strategy, and support individuals with complex mental health needs on their journey to recovery.

About the Service This 19-bed standalone hospital provides recovery-focused care for adult males with a range of mental health conditions, including personality disorders, learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and gender identity needs. The service is designed to promote resilience, independence, and successful community reintegration.

Your Role as Consultant Psychologist
  • Conduct psychological assessments and develop tailored therapy programmes.
  • Deliver individual and group therapy sessions aligned with patient needs.
  • Manage a caseload and contribute to multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings.
  • Provide clinical supervision to the Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Practitioner.
  • Lead on service development, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold data confidentiality.
What We're Looking For
  • Master's degree in Psychology (minimum) and a recognised post-grad qualification.
  • Accreditation with BABCP, BCP, BPS, or equivalent.
  • Experience in clinical psychology, ideally with DBT training and HR20 reporting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build therapeutic relationships.
  • A proactive, evidence-based approach to therapy and service development.
