Consultant Psychologist - Specialist Mental Health Service

About the Service This 19-bed standalone hospital provides recovery-focused care for adult males with a range of mental health conditions, including personality disorders, learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and gender identity needs. The service is designed to promote resilience, independence, and successful community reintegration.

- c£46,800 salary (part-time) + excellent benefits

- £46,800 per annum
- Part-Time Permanent 22.5 Hours per Week

Your Role as Consultant Psychologist
- Conduct psychological assessments and develop tailored therapy programmes.
- Deliver individual and group therapy sessions aligned with patient needs.
- Manage a caseload and contribute to multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings.
- Provide clinical supervision to the Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Practitioner.
- Lead on service development, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold data confidentiality.
- Master's degree in Psychology (minimum) and a recognised post-grad qualification.
- Accreditation with BABCP, BCP, BPS, or equivalent.
- Experience in clinical psychology, ideally with DBT training and HR20 reporting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build therapeutic relationships.
- A proactive, evidence-based approach to therapy and service development.
