Associate Tutor - Psychology Study Skills

We have an excellent opportunity for an Associate Tutor to join the teaching team on the Certificate of Higher Education, BSc Foundation Year and BA Programmes, and support the School of Psychological Sciences this Autumn 2026.
The role will be to support teaching in order to enable students to complete their studies successfully and undertake related course administrative duties as required. Your main responsibility will be preparation and assisting with the studying skills focused seminar, teaching, and providing feedback on formative assessment on the Psychology Study Skills module.
Schedule- Session 1: 10th October -3pm
- Session 2: 31st October -3pm
- Session 3: 5th December -3pm
- Session 4: 23rd January -3pm
- Session 5: 13th February -3pm
- Session 6: 19th June -3pm
- A degree in Psychology.
- Relevant teaching experience, working with adult students within the HE sector.
- A good understanding of the needs of full and part-time adult learners and be able to relate well to their individual needs and engage their interest and enthusiasm.
- Experience of (or willingness to develop) a wide range of teaching and assessment methods.
- Demonstrably effective communication, interpersonal and presentation skills across a range of relevant contexts.
- A working knowledge of IT including Word, Excel, e-mail and experience of (or willingness to use) Moodle & Teams.

RemunerationPayment is based on an hourly rate depending on length of continuous service with the College (starting rate £61.39 per hour inclusive of pro-rata London Allowance and holiday pay) for contact hours worked. This hourly rate is based on the starting point of Grade 6 and is inclusive of a 'Duties Related to Teaching Multiplier' at x2.5, which covers preparation, teaching, administration, assessment marking and other examining duties in connection with the course.
