Asbestos Bid Manager - Dartford

Job Description

Our client is a notable asbestos consultancy that provides a wide range of professional asbestos and environmental services to high profile clients across the UK. They are actively seeking a highly calibre, commercially focused Asbestos Bid Manager based in or around the South East. The ideal candidate has extensive experience managing asbestos bids, overseeing a team of bid writers, working on PQQs, ITTs and tender returns, and a proven track record of winning consultancy bids. Applicants may be based in London, Dartford, Croydon or the surrounding areas.

Qualifications and Experience

• Strong educational background.
• Significant experience in bid management, sales, business development, commercial, project and risk management.
• Good knowledge of commercial and other sectors.
• Excellent communication, people management, organisational, presentation and leadership skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the bids team carry out work effectively.
• Engage with PPQs and tender opportunities, evaluating and completing within time frames.
• Manage the bid qualification process.
• Coordinate bid inputs from stakeholders (sales, marketing, finance, technical teams, legal).
• Work alongside Sales and Managing Directors to ensure technical and commercial aspects are completed on schedule.
• Prepare written proposals and management summaries.
• Deliver compliant, commercially sound bids, resolving business issues.
• Arrange post bid reviews and gather feedback from clients/customers.
• Drive continual improvement of tender documentation.
• Maintain and build relationships with the Marketing Manager and the company's portfolio of clients.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring consistency and up to date information.
