Administration Assistant - Attendance & Pupil Premium

Salary: Local Authority Grade 4 £25,989 - £26,403 per annum pro rata.

Starting Salary: £12,199

Contract type: Part Time 20 hours per week - Term Time only + 6 additional days

Contract term: Permanent

We are seeking to appoint a highly organised and detail-oriented Administration Assistant to join our dedicated support staff team. This role will have a particular focus on student attendance and data management.

The position is part-time (Monday to Friday, 8:00am-12:00 noon), term time only. The successful candidate will work closely with our Attendance Officer and Pupil Premium Lead, playing a key role in ensuring accurate record-keeping and supporting student outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring and processing student attendance, including recording and following up absences
  • Administration of follow up communication/letters regarding attendance
  • Supporting the administration of Pupil Premium funding and related processes
  • Liaising effectively with staff across the school
  • Assisting with wider administrative tasks, such as collating student praise data
  • Maintaining accurate and well-organised records

This role would suit someone who thrives in a busy environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality administrative support. The successful candidate will have excellent administrative skills, IT skills and be highly efficient and organised. They will be able to deal sensitively with a variety of situations with external organisations, staff, students and parents. A calm, flexible approach and highly accurate written communication are essential.
