Academics are currently recruiting a Year 4 Teacher for a long-term primary teaching position in Rotherham, starting soon. The role offers the potential to continue beyond the initial placement, while we are also interested in speaking with Year 4 Teachers who would prefer flexible supply opportunities across the Rotherham area.

• Location: Rotherham


• Contract: Temporary, long-term with potential to continue / flexible ongoing supply


• Pay: £130 - £190 per day (dependent on experience, training, qualifications and client rate available, paid via PAYE - no umbrella company fees, inclusive of holiday pay)


• Start Date: September / upcoming

About the Role

The Year 4 Teacher will take responsibility for a Year 4 class within a primary school in Rotherham, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons across the curriculum.

This is initially a long-term opportunity, with the potential for the placement to continue for the right candidate. The successful Year 4 Teacher will be confident managing a classroom, building positive relationships and ensuring pupils remain engaged and supported throughout their learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons to a Year 4 class


• Follow school planning and curriculum expectations


• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment


• Manage behaviour effectively


• Support pupils with different learning needs


• Monitor and assess pupil progress where required


• Encourage independence and positive attitudes towards learning

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)


• Previous primary teaching experience


• Experience teaching KS2, ideally Year 4


• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills


• Good understanding of the KS2 curriculum


• Flexible and adaptable approach


• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
