Windows Infrastructure Engineer - Banking

Senior Windows Infrastructure Engineer sought by leading investment bank based in the city of London.

Inside IR35 - 2 days a week on site

Role Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Windows Infrastructure Engineer to manage, support, and improve our Windows-based systems.

You'll be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and support Windows Server environments ().

Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.

Support virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V).

Automate tasks using PowerShell.

Monitor system performance and apply updates/patches.

Implement backups and disaster recovery processes.

Support hybrid cloud environments (e.g., Azure, O365).

Provide 2nd/3rd line infrastructure support.

Requirements: Essential:

5+ years in Windows infrastructure or systems engineering.

Strong skills in AD, GPO, and Windows Server.

PowerShell scripting experience.

Virtualization (VMware or Hyper-V).

Good understanding of networking basics.

Background in banking/financial services

Desirable:

Azure, Office 365, Intune experience.

Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCSA, AZ-104).

Experience with SCCM, monitoring tools, ITIL practices.
