Warehouse Team Lead

Overview

We have an opportunity for someone to join our Thomas Street Team as a Warehouse Team Lead. This role is required to service all shifts in the soup and dessert manufacturing factory with the necessary raw and packaging materials and maintain essential yard function. The role is required on a day cycle with flexibility required to operate at other times in the day/night should the exceptional need arise.

Key Responsibilities

• Raw material inventory management: Liaising with the procurement team to align on the control of all raw materials arriving onto the site every day. Control the day to day truck management of all deliveries and the required storage of the materials to ensure correct FIFO with stock takes as required.
• Packaging inventory management: Liaising with the procurement team to align on the control of all packaging materials arriving onto the site every day. Control the day to day truck management of all deliveries and the required storage of the materials to ensure necessary correct FIFO with stock takes as required.
• Racking management: Control of all racking to ensure correct location of all materials with FIFO and allergen management and traceability as necessary considerations.
• Yard Management: Has supervisory responsibility for all yard employees and controls all truck deliveries on site to ensure correct traffic management and smooth delivery and transportation of material from all yard locations including finished product, waste and pallet management.

Key Requirements

• Attends internal meetings to help establish priorities and assign tasks.
• Aligns with the Procurement and Supply Chain teams on the arrival and management of all raw material and packaging deliveries.
• Co ordinates with operations on the shipping of all finished product.
• Controls traffic management of all yard deliveries.
• Compliance to all site Environmental, Health and Safety requirements, training and regulations.
• Understand lean principles, problem solving tools while being able to drive efficiencies and bring improvement to our processes.
• Compliance to all local site company policies, procedures and corporate policies.
• Act in accordance with the company's guiding principles and adherence to the Corporate Code of Conduct.
• Perform additional duties at the request of the direct Manager.
