Role Overview

The Sales Development Manager reports to the Regional Manager and is responsible for driving sales and distribution across retail and doorstep channels. The role focuses on growing existing customer relationships, developing new distributor opportunities, and managing milk agents and third party teams to deliver sales and margin targets.

Responsibilities

Build strong relationships with agents and distributors, ensuring their needs are met. Grow existing partnerships and develop new distributor opportunities, focusing on dairy drinks and family milk. Manage route to market and ensure timely product delivery to retail customers. Drive sales through effective merchandising, promotions, and NPD execution. Analyse sales data to improve performance, manage budgets, and collaborate cross functionally to meet strategic goals.

Requirements

The role requires strong commercial awareness, relationship building skills, and a results driven mindset. Candidates must be resilient, innovative, and capable of working cross functionally while managing negotiations and conflict effectively. A full driver's licence is also required.

Key competencies include relationship management, drive for results, resilience, commercial acumen, innovative thinking, cross functional collaboration, and negotiation skills.

Experience

Candidates should have experience in sales and delivering customer focused solutions, along with prior sales management experience. A proven track record of achieving targets and developing high performing teams is essential.

Measurements

Performance is measured by achieving annual sales volume and value targets, increasing dairy drinks and family milk mix, and developing new distributor opportunities across existing and new networks.
