Vehicle Test Laboratory Technician - Engineering Support - Gaydon

The Opportunity

Join our esteemed client as a Contract Vehicle Test Laboratory Technician within the Vehicle Safety Test Laboratory (VSTL). You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality physical test activities in a dynamic laboratory environment.

Key Performance Indicators

• Tests completed on time and to quality standards
• Timely submission of test records/reports
• Accurate and timely test logging
• Adherence to Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM)

Key Responsibilities

• Assembly and operation of test rigs and control systems
• Data acquisition and instrumentation management
• Conducting rig inspections and maintenance
• Completion of test documentation, including DART reports
• Engaging in continuous improvement of test processes
• Adhering to compliance frameworks like IATF 16949 and ISO 17025

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

• Technical experience in test facility operation
• Understanding of data acquisition and closed loop control systems
• A structured approach to problem-solving
• Excellent communication skills and computer literacy

Education:Engineering Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 minimum required; Degree is preferred.
