We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join our independent workshop team in Bracknell. Moving away from rigid corporate targets, we offer a £35,000-£40,000 basic salary, permanent Monday-to-Friday hours (08:00-17:00, strictly no weekends), and ongoing technical training on modern vehicle systems.

Your Role

As a vital Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic in our Bracknell workshop, you will:

  • Carry out routine vehicle servicing, preventative maintenance, safety health checks, and braking system overhauls.
  • Execute complex mechanical repairs, including cambelts, timing chains, clutches, suspension setups, and steering components.
  • Utilize diagnostic scanners to systematically troubleshoot, isolate, and rectify electrical and mechanical faults.
  • Maintain precise digital job records and ensure all work complies with strict quality and safety standards.
What You Need
  • Qualifications & Experience: NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 (or City & Guilds / time-served equivalent) with 3 to 5 years of hands on experience in a professional workshop. F Gas certification is preferred (or an interest in obtaining it).
  • Licensing: A full UK driving licence is essential. An active MOT Tester licence is preferred but not required.
  • Equipment: Must possess your own hand tools for daily workshop repair tasks.
  • Key Strengths: Strong diagnostic skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
