how you will contribute

As a UX Designer, you will be instrumental in shaping the user experience of our internal back- and midoffice platforms for our consultants. You will translate business requirements and user needs into intuitive and effective design solutions within the use of the Salesforce Lightning Design System. Your focus will be on simplifying complex processes to ensure simple and effective interactions for our global users.

what you will be doing

• carrying out the end-to-end design process, from initial concept ideation to high-fidelity prototypes, user testing, and final handover to the product development team.
• developing user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes to communicate design ideas effectively.
• collaborating closely with product managers, product owners and business analysts to understand user stories and business goals.
• working in close partnership with technical specialists to ensure the feasibility and optimal implementation of designs within the Salesforce platform.
• working closely together with a user researcher for usability testing to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
• creating and maintaining design documentation, ensuring consistency and adherence to design system guidelines.
• continuously seeking opportunities to simplify product designs and integrate interaction and visual elements to enhance the user experience.

who will you work with

You will be a part of the UX Research & Design team. This team consists of a diverse group of UX Designers and Researchers who are each dedicated to various Randstad products. Together, you ensure a user-centered approach across all digital touchpoints of Randstad.

You will be working closely with dedicated Product Managers, a UX Researcher, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and a team of two other Product Designers. You will collaborate extensively with diverse teams responsible for developing the platform.

You will report to the UX Research & Design manager.

what you will bring

your UX design skills, especially in creating user-friendly and visually attractive interfaces and simple to use features, are well-honed. You can identify design opportunities and translate user needs and business objectives into effective design solutions. Additionally:

• you enjoy the challenge of tech constraints and seek strong partnerships with technical specialists to collaborate on solutions that work towards the platform's strengths over seeking to cross technical boundaries effectively.
• you will always be on the lookout for ways to simplify product designs and integrate a mix of interaction and visual experience into the business's product.
• you put your user at the core of everything while designing and don't lose sight of the business goals that need to be achieved.
• you feel comfortable in a fast-paced creative environment - understand what an agile way of working is and understand what is required of that type of work (speed, progress over perfection).
• you are able to work independently and proactively - relish the challenge of jumping in the deep end, getting to work, and learning from the challenge.
• you are able to analyze user needs, business requirements, and technical possibilities, and find design solutions that leverage all three.
• you are good at creatively problem-solving within defined structures - abilities to design tailored solutions/flows from the confinements of standard components and pages.

background

• 3-6 years of professional experience in UX design, with a portfolio showcasing your UX (and UI) design skills for digital products.
• skilled in creating key design deliverables such as user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes. Some experience with journey mapping is a plus.
• experience working with an (enterprise) design system is beneficial, especially with Salesforce Lightning Design system.
• mastery of design/prototype tooling (Figma) (or other relevant UX prototyping tools).
• experience with working within a large / enterprise company, with remote and international collaboration and research is a plus as well designing for an enterprise platform.

• good documentation skills, with preferably experience with using Confluence or similar platforms to maintain clear design documentation.
• a solid understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design patterns, and information architecture.
• the ability to deliver clear and detailed design specifications and guidelines to help developers implement designs effectively.
• effective communication skills to collaborate smoothly with team members and various stakeholders.
• able to work in fast-paced, complex global environments where you have no trouble finding your way to the right stakeholders.
• good time management, estimation, and planning skills, allowing you to manage multiple projects effectively, both independently and within teams.
• fluency in English, both spoken and written, for clear communication within our international environment.
