Unified Communications Engineer/Consultant

Unified Communications Engineer/Consultant - 24 months - Market Rate - Remote (Must be mobile)

We are seeking a hands-on Unified Communications Engineer to support secure enterprise voice, video, and collaboration platforms (Microsoft Teams) within the Public Sector. You will work with a team decommissioning current infrastructure, whilst working on the transformation to new kit and way of working. This will involve multi sites across the UK and is a long term upgrade project. Experience within the Public Sector would be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Decommission existing Unified Comms
• Support and maintain enterprise voice and video platforms
• Manage video conferencing and room-based collaboration systems
• Maintain underlying network, server, and storage infrastructure
• Support partner connectivity across various UK sites
• Perform hardware installation and configuration
• Contribute to monitoring, automation, and operational tooling

Core Technical Skills

Unified Communications

• Experience of UCAAS (Multivendor)
• Lynx, Skype4business, PBX space Legacy
• SIP protocol knowledge
• Integration with Microsoft 365/Teams

Video Collaboration

• Familiarity with Microsoft Teams Rooms
• Understanding of cross-platform interoperability

Network Infrastructure

• LAN/WAN fundamentals
• QoS for voice and video traffic
• VLANs and IP Addressing
