Real Estate Tax Adviser - 5-7 Years' Experience - Leading International Law Firm - London

Location: London
Experience Level: 5-7 years
Background: Solicitor OR CTA-qualified tax professional with legal practice experience
Salary: £110,000 - £140,000 + bonus + comprehensive benefits
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time

An exciting opportunity has arisen within a prestigious international law firm for an experienced Real Estate Tax Advisor to join their highly regarded Tax team in London.

This role is open to both qualified solicitors and CTA-qualified tax professionals with significant experience advising on real estate tax matters in a legal practice setting.

The Role

You'll advise major real estate investors, developers, and institutional clients on complex tax structuring relating to acquisitions, disposals, developments, REITs, and joint ventures. This includes SDLT, VAT, capital allowances, and wider corporate structuring elements.

You'll collaborate closely with lawyers across real estate, corporate, and finance teams, with exposure to top-tier UK and international transactions.

Key Responsibilities

Delivering strategic tax advice on complex real estate deals and corporate structures

Advising on SDLT, VAT, REITs, and fund structuring

Working alongside fee earners on transactional work across real estate and private wealth

Supporting cross-border matters involving European and global offices

Engaging in client-facing work, internal knowledge sharing, and business development

About You

Either a qualified solicitor (5-7 PQE) or a CTA-qualified tax professional with 5+ years' post-qualification experience

Previous experience in a law firm or legal tax advisory environment essential

Strong understanding of UK real estate tax, including SDLT, VAT, and REITs

Commercial, proactive, and able to take ownership of client matters

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in a multidisciplinary setting
