DescriptionAbout the team: This is an exciting opportunity to join our newly formed trade team that plays a central role in helping our vintage and antique products continue their reuse/recycle journey. The Trade Team ensure that each product is accurately categorised and fulfilled to our Trade Customers and plays an integral part of the revenue/commercial team
About the role: As a Trade Specialist, you will be responsible for the accurate appraisal, categorisation, and fulfilment of high-value vintage and antique products within our Valley Mills operations. Your primary focus will be leveraging deep product expertise, particularly in cameras, watches, antiques, jewellery, precious and non precious metals, to maximise revenue and ensure optimal allocation. You will manage the secure handling and movement of specialised stock, maintaining efficient warehouse operations and rigorous inventory accuracy.
Getting Started- Learn and master key trade categories (cameras, watches, jewellery, antiques, metals)
- Build an understanding of trade customers and market pricing
- Support safe, efficient handling and storage of specialist stock
- Handle, package, and store high-value items securely
- Maintain accurate records of stock movement and valuation
- Take ownership of specific product categories as a subject matter expert
- Support safe loading and unloading, including high-value deliveries
- Improve how we categorise, store, and fulfil specialist stock
- Share product knowledge and market insights with the team
- Help solve operational challenges and keep things running smoothly
- Keep stock safe, secure, and well organised
- Use product knowledge to maximise value and stock flow
- Maintain a clean, efficient working environment
- Sort and manage stock to maximise efficiency and accessibility
- Keep accurate records of stock, valuation, and movement
- Follow all security and safety procedures
- Work collaboratively to improve processes and performance
- Knowledge in vintage categories (e.g. watches, jewellery, cameras, antiques, metals.)
- Strong attention to detail and organisation skills
- Comfortable handling and moving stock safely
- Flexible and able to adapt across tasks and teams
- Proactive, reliable, and safety-conscious
- Basic computer skills
- Experience in valuing or selling vintage items
- Warehouse experience
- FLT licence
- Driving licence (Category B or C1)
