We are seeking a talented, driven, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a full time Trade Compliance Specialist based in our Dublin office.
About the Role
The Trade Compliance Specialist plays a key role in supporting customs import and export compliance activities for Bulgari Ireland, covering operations in both Ireland and Italy, while also providing support to other Affiliates when required. This position works closely with internal stakeholders across the organization and collaborates with external partners, including customs brokers, freight forwarders, and trade service providers, to ensure compliant, efficient, and seamless cross border operations.
Job responsibilitiesKey Responsibilities
- Monitor customs compliance for import and export activities across Ireland, Italy, and other Affiliates worldwide.
- Perform pre and post clearance reviews and verification of customs declarations to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Audit and assess import and export declarations, identify compliance gaps, and support implementation of corrective actions and/or improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate monthly record keeping of customs and support documentation for all transactions.
- Prepare documentary support packs for annual VAT returns.
- Support Intrastat reporting activities.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance) and external service providers (customs brokers, freight forwarders) to resolve customs and trade compliance matters.
- Monitor compliance with Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), including the collection, validation, and maintenance of Long Term Supplier Declarations (LTSDs).
- Assist in ensuring compliance with customs regulations, trade requirements, and internal policies across multiple jurisdictions.
- Create purchase orders in Ivalua.
- Support ad hoc group projects.
Profile & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar Trade Compliance or Customs role.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Trade Compliance, Business, or a related field; certifications in related matters are a plus.
- Fluent in English; Italian is a plus but not essential.
- Strong knowledge of customs clearance procedures and formalities.
- Proven ability to manage complex trade and customs operations while maintaining operational efficiency.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, data analysis, and reporting capabilities; strong PowerPoint presentation skills.
