Temporary Material Handler: Shipping & Receiving

Matrix Recruitment is working with our client for a Temporary Material Handler, this is a 3 month contract, based in Carlow.

You'll be a key part of the production team, ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of materials and equipment across the workspace. This position is full-time and temporary, and may require overtime based on operational demands.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Safely move materials, parts, and equipment throughout production areas
• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes following all safety guidelines
• Load and unload trailers as per schedule
• Maintain stock accuracy and organise materials effectively
• Perform daily and weekly equipment checks
• Participate in stock counts and report equipment or stock issues promptly
• Keep workspaces clean and tidy in line with Health & Safety standards
• Wear PPE and report hazards or unsafe conditions immediately
• Collaborate with colleagues to support production and continuous improvement
• Take part in training initiatives as needed

What Are We Looking For?

• Experience operating forklifts and handling trailers is desirable
• Previous manufacturing or factory experience is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Effective English communication skills
• Reliable, self-motivated, and a good team player
• Flexible and willing to work shifts and overtime if required
