Team Manager - Family Support Team

About Strabane SureStart
Funded by the Department of Education, our service supports children aged 0-4 and their families across Strabane, Plumbridge, Donemana, Finn and Sion Mills. We focus on:
- Learning: Stimulating play, language development, and early support
- Health: Promoting child health and supporting parents
- Social Development: Strengthening early relationships and parenting skills
Your Role
As Team Manager, you'll be working alongside another team manager (job share) across our sites to:
- Supervise and support the dedicated family support staff team
- Facilitate team meetings and formal supervision
- Contribute to service planning and development
- Provide direct support to families as part of service delivery
- Write and contribute to service reports
- Measure impact and outcomes, and present data both orally and in writing
- Support the Children's Services Manager in overall service management
What You'll Need
Essential Qualifications (assessed at shortlisting):
- A relevant Degree in Social Work, Nursing, Early Years, Education, Social Sciences, Youth & Community Work OR CCLD Level 5
- Essential Experience (assessed at shortlisting):
- Paid experience working with children under 4 and their families
- Experience providing support to families
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams
- Experience supervising staff, volunteers, or students
- Experience writing or contributing to reports
- Experience measuring impact and outcomes, and presenting data
Essential Knowledge (assessed at interview):
- Understanding of disadvantage and its impact on parenting and child outcomes
- Knowledge of child development, attachment, and early experiences, including ACEs
- Experience in applying safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures
Other Requirements:
- Must be available to work Fridays
- Subject to Enhanced Access NI and NHSCT vetting
- Must hold a current driving licence with access to a vehicle or demonstrate the ability to source another means of transport to fulfil the role. As driving is an intrinsic part of this role, applicants with a disability that prevents them from driving should be able to demonstrate an alternative means of meeting the mobility requirements of the post.

Salary: £35,390.46 - £43,392.02 (Full Time Equivalent)
