Positions: 2 Teaching Assistants
About the SchoolThis is a smaller-than-average, one-form-entry primary school serving children from Nursery through to Year 6. With around 180 pupils, the school offers a friendly and close-knit environment where staff can develop strong relationships with pupils and work collaboratively as part of a supportive team. Additional Needs Support- EYFS learners who are minimally verbal, supporting communication, engagement and early development.
- KS1 pupils with autism, helping children access learning, develop independence and manage the school day.
- KS2 pupils with SEMH needs, supporting emotional regulation, behaviour, confidence and engagement.
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support where required.
- Helping pupils access the curriculum through differentiated and engaging activities.
- Developing positive, trusting relationships with pupils.
- Working closely with class teachers, SEN staff and the wider school team.
- Supporting pupils to become more confident, independent and successful learners.
- Patient, nurturing and resilient.
- Passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
- Confident supporting pupils with autism, communication needs and/or SEMH.
- Able to build positive relationships with children while maintaining clear and consistent boundaries.
- Adaptable and comfortable supporting pupils across different primary age groups.
- Calm and confident when managing challenging behaviour or emotional needs.
- Reliable and committed to a full-time, long-term position.
Previous experience working within a primary school, SEN setting, specialist provision or similar environment would be highly desirable. However, candidates with relevant transferable experience will also be considered.
