Role: Primary Teaching Assistants

Location: Lydiate & Maghull

Salary: £475-£500 per week

Working Days: Full-time (September 2026)

Connex Education is currently seeking dedicated, enthusiastic and adaptable teaching assistants who have experience supporting children in primary schools. Experience supporting children with special educational needs is essential for this supply role.

About the Schools

Connex Education have been supplying teaching assistants to primary schools in Lydiate & Maghull for the past 8 years. We work in partnership with primary schools who come to us for day to day cover and long term 1:1 support cover.

About the roles

Connex Education are currently recruiting full time and part time teaching assistants.

The following are the type of bookings that could be available for you:

• Full time general classroom and 1:1 support in EYFS and KS1 (September 2026)
• Split roles - cover in different year groups throughout the day.
• Temp to perm roles - transition onto school contracts when schools request notice for staff.
• Part time bookings - day to day cover for full days and half days.

Qualifications and requirements

• Level 2/3 teaching assistant qualification is desirable.
• Experience supporting children in primary schools is essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to adapt to different learning needs and experience supporting children with SEN is essential.
• It is essential that you have a DBS on the update service, or willing to obtain a new one through Connex.
