About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school in Accrington from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people by supporting their learning, development, and wellbeing across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons
• Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and raise attainment
• Provide targeted support for pupils with additional needs, including SEN
• Assist with behaviour management and create a positive learning environment
• Help prepare teaching resources and classroom materials
• Contribute to assessment, progress tracking, and record-keeping
• Support pupils socially and emotionally to help them achieve their full potential

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Holds a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
• Has experience working within a secondary school setting
• Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Is patient, adaptable, and committed to student success
• Has a proactive and positive approach to supporting learning
• Understands safeguarding responsibilities and child protection procedures
