Location: West Drayton - Start Date: September 2026 - Trial Days Available ASAP - Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM - Contract Type: Full Time - Long Term

About the Role

A warm, inclusive primary school in West Drayton is seeking a kind, proactive, and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist provision within a mainstream setting, supporting reception aged pupils. The role involves a strong focus on sensory play and bucket play activities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 and small group support
• Provide academic and emotional support in line with EHCP targets
• Help pupils stay focused, engaged, and regulated throughout the school day
• Support communication development within a language friendly classroom
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
• Assist with personal care tasks where required (e.g. toileting)
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with Autism, ADHD, or similar complex needs
• Confidence supporting SEND pupils within a school setting
• A strong understanding of the UK national curriculum
• A calm, empathetic, and patient approach to behaviour support
• Willingness to support with personal care when required
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• A nurturing, proactive mindset and strong teamwork skills
