Hourly Salary Range: €14.50 to €20.90
Purpose of Role: Provide a range of services to individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities and/or autism.
The Company: Barróg Healthcare is a small private health and social care provider based in Dublin offering residential care and day packages nationwide.
Contract: 24 hours a week
Shifts Available: Monday to Thursday 1pm-8pm
Reporting Relationship: Team Lead and Day Service Manager
Job Title: Support Worker (HCA) or Social Care Worker dependent on qualifications
Vetting: Reference checks, Garda Vetting, background clearances.

Required Qualifications:
- Permission to work in Ireland.
- For Support Worker roles: minimum a QQI Level 5 major award (8 components/modules) in Health or Social Care, or commitment to complete the major award if some components are already completed.
- For Social Care Worker role: minimum a B.A. in Social Care, QQI Level 7, or equivalent, plus registration as a Social Care Worker with CORU by Nov 2025.
- Full clean driver's licence.
Professional Advantage:
- One year of experience in a Healthcare or Social Care setting.
- Experience/knowledge of report writing and client support plans.
Candidate Skills / Experience:
- The ability to support the client group respectfully, centring the client's goals and needs in every task.
- Understanding of how to prevent and manage challenging behaviour.
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
- Comfortable working with essential information technology and providing reports.
Main Duties / Responsibilities:
- Support service users with intellectual/physical disability or autism.
- Ensure service users understand their environment, learn new skills and maximise independence.
- Assist individuals with daily living activities.
- Support individuals to live a meaningful life, focusing on equal citizenship.
- Facilitate participation and integration into the community.
- Act as an advocate for clients/residents.
- Promote participation of clients/residents in the formulation and execution of their care/placement plan.
- Accompany service users to appointments and other events as required.
- Assist service users with reduced mobility.
- Undertake duties assigned by the direct manager/team leader.
- Manage challenging behaviours using a positive behaviour support plan.
- Provide reports on client activities to management.
- Attend staff meetings and contribute constructively to the ongoing implementation of the care plan.
