Landmarc Support Services is currently seeking to recruit a Site Operative to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be responsible for looking after the Training Estate facilities, typical tasks will include cleaning accommodation blocks, and maintaining the grounds and buildings to ensure a safe, efficient and sustainable place for our Armed Forces to stay while they train.

Shifts run between: 08:00-16:00 Monday-Sunday, 08:00-15:30 Fridays, with occasional weekends on a rota

Hours of work: 37 per week

Contract: Permanent

Location: Warcop Camp, Appleby in Westmorland, Cumbria, CA16 6PA

What You'll Be Doing

  • Maintaining site cleanliness - ensuring all areas are tidy, hygienic and ready for use
  • Cleaning accommodation and communal areas - including offices, ablutions, shower blocks and shared facilities
  • Carrying out general cleaning duties - sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming and more
  • Supporting building upkeep - basic maintenance tasks to keep facilities in good condition
  • Grounds maintenance - helping maintain outdoor areas
  • Managing stock - ensuring supplies are organised and replenished
  • Completing documentation - using both IT systems and paper-based records
  • Providing flexible support - assisting with other duties as required

What We're Looking For

  • General housekeeping or caretaking knowledge
  • Understanding of Health & Safety
  • Experience in commercial cleaning (desirable but not essential)
  • Ability to complete documentation accurately
  • Basic IT skills, including using a tablet
  • A valid UK driving licence (essential due to rural location)
