Details

To provide Voice student leaders with support and improve the SU's ability to represent students across the University. This could include:

• Facilitating student leadership within the Academic Rep system, working with our team to provide tools and training to achieve a fully student led system
• Improving our institutional knowledge of student issues, providing students with the resources to reimagine student education at a course, institution, and sector level
• Enhancing the Academic Rep system in line with student views, improving the ability of students to form communities, work with Officers, and advocate for change
• Providing "front of house" support to Academic Reps, acting as a first point of contact at meetings and via the Voice inbox, researching best practice across the Higher Education sector, working with SU Bath and our partners in the sector to build a best in sector system at Bath
• Supporting Academic Reps on a full range of projects, from resolving smaller and specific concerns to projects around sustainability, liberation, and student rights
• Working with Officers to identify trends and escalating issues within University structures, ensuring the Union can respond effectively to student concerns
• Representing your own views in meetings or consultations with the University, external partners and authorities

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with great attention to detail
• Enjoy working in a team but also happy to work independently
• Build positive relationships and work well with a variety of people
• Enjoy thinking creatively and coming up with new ideas
• Have an interest in the SU and the student experience

Location

This role will mostly be based in 1 East (Claverton Down campus) or other locations on campus, with the option to work from home for specific tasks by prior agreement with line manager.
