As a medium-sized but truly international consultancy, we are big enough to be able to provide a wide range of challenging projects for our staff, but still at a size where our students can be treated as individuals and given real responsibility at an early stage.

The Role You'll Play

We are recruiting talented and creative engineering students to join our Newcastle team for a Summer Placement in 2026. It is an excellent opportunity for a Structural Engineer to join the team to work on the design of some of the most exciting construction design projects in the UK and worldwide.

Under the guidance of our team of expert engineers, this wide-ranging role will see you carrying out detailed structural engineering design and analysis.

The Skills You'll Bring

Individuals who are interested in this Summer Placement opportunity will need to be:

• On track to achieve a 2:1 or above
• Working towards a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Preferably be in your second or third year of study
• Have a passion for improving the built environment
• Be interested in design and sustainable design principles
