Sports Coach

CER Education Recruitment are currently seeking an enthusiastic, energetic and dedicated Sports Coach / PE Coach to work within secondary schools across Milton Keynes. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in sports coaching, personal training, sports science or physical education who are passionate about inspiring young people and promoting healthy, active lifestyles.
As a Sports Coach, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, high-quality PE lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, ensuring lessons are delivered in line with the National Curriculum. You may also be required to provide general classroom cover as needed, helping to support schools in maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.
This role is ideal for candidates looking to gain experience within education, including sports graduates, current coaches, personal trainers and individuals considering a future career in teaching.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging PE lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
- Teach a variety of sports and physical activities to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Encourage participation, confidence, teamwork and healthy lifestyles.
- Create an inclusive and positive learning environment that supports all students.
- Manage behaviour effectively and promote positive attitudes towards learning.
- Assess and monitor student progress where required.
- Support extra-curricular sports clubs, activities and school events.
- Provide general classroom cover across other subjects when required.
- Follow school safeguarding, health and safety, and behaviour policies at all times.
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Hold a qualification in Sports Coaching, Sports Science, Physical Education, Personal Training or a related field.
- Have previous experience in coaching, instructing or leading sporting activities that can be referenced.
- Be confident, energetic and capable of motivating young people.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Have strong classroom presence and behaviour management skills.
- Be adaptable, reliable and professional in your approach.
- Be committed to supporting students' physical, social and emotional development.
- Experience working within a secondary school setting.
- Experience supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Additional coaching qualifications or sports-related certifications.
- Experience delivering a range of sports and physical activities.
- Fully funded CPD and training opportunities.
- A dedicated consultant with excellent knowledge of the education sector.
- £300 bonus if you are already registered with another agency.
- £250 Refer-a-Friend Scheme (once your referral has worked 10 days).
