Job Title: Sports Coach / Learning Support
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £460 - £650 per week
Contract Type: Full-time / Part time, Long term / Day to day
Start Date: Immediately

About the role

This role supports teachers in classroom learning and behaviour, using coaching skills to keep pupils engaged and focused.

Key responsibilities

• Support teaching staff with classroom learning and activities
• Supervise students during lessons as part of cover or learning support duties
• Use transferable coaching skills to engage and motivate learners
• Support positive behaviour, focus, and participation in lessons
• Help maintain a structured, safe, and supportive learning environment
• Provide feedback to staff on student engagement and progress

Requirements

• Background in sports coaching, fitness, youth work, or similar roles
• Confidence working with groups of young people in a school setting
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills
• Professional, adaptable, and reliable approach
• Genuine interest in supporting education and student development
• Have the right to work in the UK
• Hold an up to date CV with two references from the last 2 years
• Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
