To actively lead and manage the multiple sclerosis service across Northern services.
To provide a specialist clinical and educational role to all areas of the Trust (North specific) in relation to multiple sclerosis care.
To coordinate and provide clinical cover in in-patient and out-patient areas.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new member to join our MS Specialist team caring for our MS patients across North and East Devon. You will be working alongside clinical teams to support the development of the service, in addition to teaching and promoting exemplary care for patients with multiple sclerosis in North and East Devon and the surrounding areas.
You will support in the delivery of providing specialist care to patients with Multiple Sclerosis and their families. To co-ordinate the care throughout the patients pathway whilst under the care of the MDT, from diagnosis through treatment and follow-up care.
The post holder will be expected to have excellent communication skills to enable them to provide psychological, social and cultural support to patients diagnosed with relevant speciality.
We are looking for an individual with excellent leadership, liaison, teaching and reporting skills, as well as proven experience working with patients with long term conditions as a clinical nurse specialist, in particular multiple sclerosis. You will work collaboratively with clinical teams, learning and development and other professionals across the Trust.
This role is open to Nurses and AHP's and there is a position in both the North and the East. Experience working with patients with multiple sclerosis is preferred but not essential as full training and supervision will be provided. Ability to travel to other locations as required. Pay: The salary advertised for this position reflects the Agenda for Change 2026-7 rates, inclusive of a 3.3% pay award implemented from April 2026. If you join before this date, remuneration will be based on the 2025-6 pay bandings (Pay scales for 2025/26 NHS Employers)
