This is a part time permanent position which will be hybrid working with some office attendance, as the job requires.

About the Role

As a key member of our legal team, you'll provide expert advice on a wide range of commercial property matters. You'll support the Council's ambitious target of securing £118.3 million in capital receipts over the next four years, working closely with service departments and senior officers on complex and rewarding projects.

This is a part-time, permanent position offering hybrid working arrangements, with flexibility to attend the office as needed.

What You'll Be Doing

Advising on commercial property transactions and legal strategies.
Supporting major project land developments and property disposals with some acquisitions.
Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure legal compliance and best practice.
Contributing to the Council's strategic goals through sound legal guidance.

Who We're Looking For

We welcome applications from qualified solicitors or barristers with experience in commercial property law. While previous public sector experience is an advantage, it's not essential-we provide full training and support for those new to local government.
