You'll be joining a public sector healthcare organisation committed to improving the wellbeing of its workforce. The team you'll be part of is focused on delivering impactful health promotion initiatives and supporting staff through a range of wellbeing programmes. The role is primarily remote, with occasional travel to headquarters or partner sites.
Your new role
As a Health Promotion Officer, you'll support the planning, delivery, and evaluation of health and wellbeing initiatives for staff. You'll help manage internal wellbeing communications, maintain digital wellbeing resources, and collaborate with external health bodies to deliver annual campaigns. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the development and delivery of health campaigns.
- Promoting staff wellbeing services and increasing engagement.
- Updating and managing wellbeing content on internal platforms.
- Producing reports and evaluations on health initiatives.
- Conducting research to inform evidence-based practice.
- Supporting strategic wellbeing objectives and reporting progress to management.
To be considered for this role, you'll need:
- A degree or professional qualification in public health, health improvement, or community development plus at least 1 year's experience at Band 4 level or above in a related field.
OR
5 years' relevant experience at Band 4 level or above. - Experience of planning and delivering health promotion events or campaigns.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (reasonable adjustments considered).
- Strong communication, planning, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of staff wellbeing strategies and health promotion best practices.
- Experience handling sensitive information.
- Project management experience.
- Certification in mental health or suicide prevention.
- A Band 5 salary with full-time hours (37.5 per week).
