Software Engineer, Java, Spring Boot, Docker, OpenShift, CI/CD C++ Cloud (f/m/x) Prague -

On behalf of our client, an international financial service provider located in Prague, we are looking for an external resource with skills and abilities as stated below:

Software Engineer Java Spring Boot Docker OpenShift CI/CD GitHub GCP Cloud C++ (f/m/x) financial area Prague - 50% Remote

Description:

The Software Engineer has the skills to develop large and/or complex programs, incl. design, coding and testing.

As part of test responsibilities, the Software Engineer defines and creates test cases, executes test activities and reports on progress.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Java and Spring Boot
• C++
• CI/CD (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD)
• gRPC, Protobuf
• Red Hat Open Shift
• Docker
• Istio Service Mesh
• Redis, PostgreSQL

Mandatory skills and experiences:

• A minimum of three years commercial experience developing software in Java.
• At least a basic understanding of the DevOps/SRE approach to designing and operating large-scale production systems.
• An understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• An understanding of microservices and service-oriented architectures
• Working proficiency and communication skills in English
• Motivation to work in a cross functional team
• Knowledge of financial markets (bonds, equities, interest rate swaps, futures, options)

Optional Skills:

• Hands-on experience building cloud native solutions on GCP, Azure or AWS.
• Demonstrable experience of programming with Java in a real-world application of substantial size, whether commercial or hobby.
• Commercial experience with developing software in C++

• Start date of assignment: ASAP
• Initial contract duration: 31.12.2026
• Degree of employment: Full-time
• Location: Prague (50 % remote)
